Working in many different styles, artist Linda Angus creates beautiful works in response to the vibrancy of her mood on any given day.
Linda captures Chinese customs, festivals, farmers' daily life and social life painted in brilliant and vibrant tones using gouache watercolour on paper in her Chinese Folk and Naïve Art series.
This was inspired by Linda's Chinese heritage as a third generation Chinese migrant growing up in Malaysia. Her technique is more of a pseudo naive art form as Linda is trained in fine art, graduating from the Victorian College of the Arts.

EDALA Art is the acronym for "Empowering Deaf Artist Linda Angus". It is business /social enterprise project to promote Linda Angus as a fully-AUSLAN Visual Artist in the marketplace through art for sale and commission.
It is believed that true empowerment through a collaboration of two or many partners would bring focus, promotion and creative development of Linda’s natural artistic gifs, and liberation from economic disadvantage.
Linda's works are colourful, detailed and exude emotions of unbridled happiness and joy, reflecting her true personality.
Linda aims to spark joy, hope and cheer into every living space through her Pet Portrait series, a series based on commissioned art painted in contemporary/abstract styles. You can send us a digital photo of your much-loved pet and Linda can paint on paper/canvas in small/medium/large sizes.

EDALA Art
Linda Khee Leng Yeo is a profoundly deaf, AUSLAN-only visual artist, having completed a Postgraduate Diploma of Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts in 1992. Linda enjoys painting in many varied abstract and contemporary styles, including prints, drawings, watercolour, gouache, acrylic and oil on paper and canvas. In 2017, Linda and her husband Ian, turned their home living space into an art studio/gallery space where the Chinese Naive Art series and other works are currently on display.
In March 2019, Linda formed EDALA Art (acronym for 'Empowering Deaf Artist Linda Angus') to develop awareness of her own branding through online and marketplace channels.
EDALA Art's mission is to spark joy, hope and cheer into every living space through Linda Angus art. The vision draws on inspiration from Marie Kondo, the world-renowned Japanese Organization Consultant who said, "The space in which we live should be for the person we are becoming now, not for the person we were in the past".

CURRENT WORKS
EDALA Art is Linda's latest and most ambitious project to date.
It comes with the dream to be economically self-suffcicient and to collaborate with local artists, galleries and businesses to develop and promote her brand in private and public spaces.
Linda's past experiences in industrial workplaces were not positive. As a deaf person, she was subject to bullying and exposed to unsafe work practices, and had no opportunity to advance in regular employment due to communication issues.
EDALA Art is not about a disability, it is about her exceptional visual abilities which deafness has enhanced.
"I don’t wish to be another person on a disability pension" is her WHY for establishing herself as a Professional Artist.
Linda Angus Art will operate as EDALA Art and will commence sales through commmissioned art and The Pet Portrait series promoted at Art and Craft markets in East Gippsland and Melbourne.
Linda is open to opportunities to collaborate with partners and mentors in Melbourne. Regional promotion of Linda's art in Gippsland is a practical starting point as her business partner/sister resides in Bairnsdale.
